Hello friends, I hope everyone is waiting for 2010, most of people are planning to send SMS over new year but be carefull because most of the company declared 31st Dec and 1st Jan as black out day. The funny thing is that company will not provide any delivery report. Most of SMS failure to deliver on New Year because on huge traffic over night.
I saw myself last new year eve 50 of my SMS failed to deliver. Now it was time to explore about the blackout days in other Telecommunications Service Providers (TSPs). Before reading further, a word of caution, many TSPs have custom blackout days for each telecom circle and year.
What are blackout days?
These are selected special days (usually festivals) during which no free or discounted SMS will be available to customers who have subscribed to SMS packs/Bonus cards/free or promotional SMS etc. On these days, between 00:00 hours to 24:00 hours, customers will be charged at base price i.e at regular normal tariff.
How to get blackout day list?
You have to do nothing just call your customer care department from your mobile they will send you list of black out days.
So be careful on these days. Recharge your mobile before sending SMS on new year.
Dulawat family wishes you a very happy new year.
